Our internship and leadership programs continue to grow and evolve as we create new partnerships and develop new training tools. By focusing on educational opportunities and hands-on learning experiences, we strive to provide our leaders of tomorrow with the skills they need to succeed. With mentoring at the site and corporate levels, our interns have the opportunity to follow our unique business model from its initial concepts to its fully functioning day-to-day applications. That’s why we are proud to share the latest and greatest developments that have recently enhanced the Trinity intern experience!
Trinity has established an ongoing partnership with the University of Alaska Anchorage, a college that offers an undergraduate Property Management program. We have secured a place on their Property Management Board along with several other industry professionals. This allows us to provide educational pathways that complement the curriculum developed by UA Anchorage.
Recently, our Seattle, WA team hosted a group of 10 Property Management students from the university. During their first day in Seattle, they visited numerous Trinity properties in the western and southern regions of the city and took a ferry ride from downtown Seattle to Bremerton, touring communities in Silverdale, Port Orchard, and Federal Way.
In addition to touring the properties, students were able to discuss our acquisition models, learn about construction and renovation planning and development, and discuss career opportunities in property management. Although the students learned quite a bit, the trip wasn’t all work and no play. That evening, we hosted a dinner for the students and took them bowling!
Towards the end of the trip, we sent the team to enjoy breakfast at Pikes Place Market. The Seattle team reviewed the students’ resumes and provided them with constructive feedback and each intern reflected on what they had seen and learned on their trip. This was a great way to enjoy an iconic destination while helping each student pursue their passions through education!
As part of this continued partnership, we are pleased to share that we have hired our first UA Anchorage graduate who will be joining our team as a full-time associate in California this June. We are also happy to announce that we will be hosting another student from UAA this summer for an extended internship!
